Prep & Ventilation: Work on a clean surface in a well-ventilated area.
Gather Supplies: Acrylic Remover, cotton pads/balls, aluminium foil, orangewood stick/cuticle pusher, nail clippers (optional), small bowl (if soaking).
Trim Length (Optional): If extensions are very long, gently clip to shorten and speed removal.
Protect Skin (Optional): Apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly around cuticles/sidewalls to minimise dryness.
Choose a Method:
Foil Wrap Method (recommended for most):
a) Soak cotton with remover and place on each nail.
b) Wrap tightly with foil to seal in the liquid.
Soak Bowl Method:
a) Pour remover into a glass/ceramic bowl.
b) Submerge fingertips so acrylic is fully covered.
Wait Time: Allow 20–30 minutes for the remover to break down acrylic polymers.
Check & Rewrap: Unwrap one nail and test. If acrylic isn’t soft/gelatinous, rewrap and wait 5–10 minutes more.
Gently Lift Product: Using an orangewood stick, lightly nudge softened acrylic off—never force. Re-soak areas that resist.
Clean Residue: Wipe each nail with a fresh cotton pad soaked in remover (or standard nail polish remover) to remove remaining film.
Light Buff (Optional): Very gently buff to smooth the natural nail surface—avoid over-buffing.
Hydrate & Seal: Wash hands, then apply cuticle oil and hand cream to re-hydrate nails and surrounding skin.
After-Care Tip: Give nails a day or two with oil/strengthener before your next enhancement service.
