Step 1 – Prepare the Nails:
Clean and sanitize the hands and nails. Shape the nails as required, prepare the cuticle area and gently remove surface shine where appropriate for the chosen gel system. Remove all filing dust and surface contaminants.
Step 2 – Apply Base Coat:
Apply a thin, even layer of compatible gel base coat, keeping the product away from the surrounding skin. Cure under a compatible UV/LED nail lamp according to the manufacturer's recommended curing instructions.
Step 3 – Apply a Base Color if Desired:
For additional depth, apply a compatible gel color underneath the cat eye gel. Darker backgrounds can often produce a more dramatic appearance, while other base shades can be used to create customized effects. Cure the base color completely.
Step 4 – Apply Cat Eye Gel:
Choose your preferred shade from the 30pcs Trending Cat Eye Set and apply a smooth, even layer. Do not cure yet.
Step 5 – Create the Magnetic Effect:
While the gel is still uncured, position a suitable cat eye magnet close to the nail surface without touching the gel. Hold and move the magnet according to the desired pattern until the magnetic particles form the preferred reflective effect.
The magnet can be positioned at different angles to experiment with straight lines, diagonal effects, curved patterns, concentrated highlights and velvet-style looks.
Step 6 – Cure Immediately:
Once the desired magnetic pattern is achieved, cure the nail under a compatible UV/LED lamp according to the gel and lamp instructions. Curing locks the magnetic particles into position.
For detailed sets, working one nail at a time can help preserve the intended magnetic effect before curing.
Step 7 – Apply Top Coat:
Apply a compatible gel top coat to seal the design and create the desired glossy finish. Cure thoroughly according to the top coat instructions.
Step 8 – Finish:
If the top coat produces a dispersion layer, cleanse it with the appropriate finishing solution. Complete the service with cuticle oil around the nail area.
