1. Prepare the nails and apply the base coat.
Shape the nails, gently prepare the cuticle area, and remove filing dust, surface oils, and residue. Use compatible dehydrator or primer only where required by your gel system. Apply a thin gel base coat, keeping it away from surrounding skin, and cure according to its instructions.
2. Apply the magnetic gel and create the reflection.
Brush on a thin, controlled layer of your chosen cat-eye gel. Leave this layer uncured. Hold a compatible cat-eye magnet close to the wet surface without touching it, then adjust its position until your preferred highlight appears.
3. Cure and build coverage where needed.
Cure promptly under a compatible UV/LED lamp, following the gel’s specified curing requirements. For additional coverage or intensity, apply another thin magnetic layer, reshape the reflection, and cure it separately. Do not assume one curing duration suits every gel and lamp combination.
4. Seal and finish.
Apply a compatible gel top coat over the cured colour and cure completely. The base coat goes beneath the colour, while the top coat seals the completed design. Finish with cuticle oil around the nail area after all gel layers are fully cured.
