Step 1 – Prepare the Nails

Begin with properly prepared natural nails or compatible nail enhancements.

Complete appropriate cuticle preparation, shape the nails, gently prepare the surface where required, and remove all nail dust and contamination.

Step 2 – Apply Compatible Base Coat

Apply a thin, controlled layer of compatible gel Base Coat.

Keep the gel away from the surrounding skin.

Cure under an appropriate UV/LED nail lamp according to the Base Coat instructions.

Step 3 – Apply a Dark Base Color if Desired

For additional contrast, apply a thin coat of black or another deep compatible gel color.

Cure completely.

This step is optional and can be changed according to the desired finished effect.

Step 4 – Prepare the Cat Eye Gel

Mix the gel appropriately according to the product instructions so the magnetic reflective particles are evenly distributed.

Step 5 – Apply a Thin Coat

Apply a thin, even layer of 5D Spar Mirror Cat Eye Gel Polish.

Do not cure yet.

The gel must remain uncured while the magnetic pattern is being created.

Step 6 – Position the Magnet

Hold a compatible cat-eye magnet approximately 3–5 mm above the uncured gel without touching the nail surface.

Step 7 – Create the Magnetic Effect

Hold the magnet in position for approximately 5–10 seconds or until the desired reflective pattern develops.

Move or tilt the magnet to change the direction and concentration of the shimmer.

Step 8 – Work One Nail at a Time

For greater control, create the magnetic effect and cure individual nails before moving to the next nail.

This helps prevent the magnetic particles from gradually dispersing before curing.

Step 9 – Cure the Design

Once the desired cat-eye pattern is visible, cure immediately under a compatible UV/LED nail lamp.

Follow the curing instructions for the gel and lamp being used.

Step 10 – Apply a Second Coat if Desired

For stronger pigmentation or a more dramatic dimensional effect, apply another thin coat.

Manipulate the magnetic particles again before curing.

Step 11 – Cure Again

Once the desired pattern has been created, cure the second layer completely.

Step 12 – Apply Top Coat

Apply a compatible glossy, no-wipe, or other appropriate gel Top Coat.

Cover the nail evenly and cap the free edge where appropriate.

Step 13 – Final Cure

Cure the Top Coat according to its instructions.

If using a wipe-required Top Coat, remove the inhibition layer using an appropriate Gel Cleanser after complete curing.
