Step 1 – Clean the Hands and Nails

Begin with clean hands and nails. Remove old polish or nail products according to the service being performed.

Step 2 – Prepare the Cuticles

Gently push back the cuticles and remove only appropriate loose dead tissue from the nail plate.

Ensure no excess cuticle remains attached to areas where gel or enhancement product will be applied.

Step 3 – Shape the Nails

File the free edge into the desired shape.

Complete any required natural nail preparation according to the gel or enhancement system being used.

Step 4 – Lightly Prepare the Nail Surface

If required by your professional nail system, gently remove surface shine using an appropriate fine nail buffer.
